The Team
The Platform Engineering Team at Imprint is at the forefront of democratizing access to cutting-edge technologies, empowering teams across our organization to innovate and excel. Responsibilities
- Proactively identify bottlenecks throughout the SDLC and implement strategic solutions to overcome them.
- Propose, design, and deliver enhancements that boost developer productivity and efficiency.
- Develop and monitor key metrics to track the effectiveness of our toolchain and technological solutions.
- Actively explore emerging technologies, guide technical strategy, and assess new tools to support our scaling organization and growing user base.
- Utilize various technologies, including AWS, Kubernetes, NoSQL and SQL databases, Kafka, gRPC, and Terraform.
What We Look For
- 8+ years in leading building and maintaining developer toolchains, from backend to frontend, including support code generation, CI / CD pipelines, experimentation platform, testing environment, etc., within an engineering organization of 100+ engineers
- Experience in Kubernetes, with a strong background in administrating and building custom resources
- Experience with AWS, familiar with utilizing AWS services as building blocks
- Experience in Golang and at least one of the scripting languages, e.g. Python, Bash, etc.
- A deep understanding of distributed infrastructure and containerization technologies
- A deep understanding of the SDLC and a passion for improving developer productivity
- Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- A strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive
- Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science or equivalent discipline
Nice to Have
- Experience in building payments-related products
- Experience with scale testing, disaster recovery, and capacity planning
- Track record of managing mission-critical, 24x7 production software systems
- Open-source project experience
