Role Summary:
The Senior DevOps Engineer at Moveworks plays a critical role in architecting and managing the company's AI cloud infrastructure and strategy. This role is key to ensuring that Moveworks’ cloud and CI/CD infrastructure are secure, resilient, and capable of supporting rapid product development and deployment. The ideal candidate will collaborate with various teams across the company, including platform, machine learning, and security, to design and manage scalable and efficient cloud infrastructure.
Skills and Experience:
- Primary Skills: Extensive experience in CI/CD pipeline management, AWS cloud infrastructure design, Kubernetes management, and infrastructure as code.
- Secondary Skills: Proficiency in programming languages like Python or Golang, strong knowledge of VPN, AWS VPC, and DNS, experience with tools like Jenkins, Terraform, and Ansible.
Success in This Role:
Success as a Senior DevOps Engineer at Moveworks involves delivering reliable and scalable cloud infrastructure that supports rapid product iteration and deployment. A successful candidate will effectively manage and optimize CI/CD pipelines, ensure high availability and security of cloud resources, and foster strong cross-functional collaboration to meet the infrastructure needs of various teams. The ability to handle poorly defined problems, make decisions in the face of uncertainty, and continuously improve the observability and reliability of systems is crucial.
Job Duties:
- Architect and manage Moveworks' multi-tenant AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, performance, and cost optimization.
- Own and manage Kubernetes clusters and service deployments across different environments.
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines with infrastructure as code, enabling seamless and automated deployment processes.
- Enhance the observability and reliability of Moveworks systems by managing monitoring and alerting infrastructure, including tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and PagerDuty.
- Collaborate closely with teams across the company to understand their DevOps needs and lead the execution of infrastructure projects.
- Work with the security team to enhance the privacy and security posture of Moveworks' infrastructure.
Requirements/Qualifications:

Must-Haves:
- 8+ years of overall experience in DevOps or related fields, with at least 3+ years in managing CI/CD infrastructure.
- Extensive experience with AWS cloud services, including IAM roles, VPC, ELB, and CloudFormation.
- Proficiency in managing CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Argo CD, GitHub Actions, or similar.
- Strong programming skills in Python or Golang.
- Solid understanding of infrastructure security practices.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and infrastructure automation tools like Terraform and Ansible.
- Proven track record of operating in a fast-paced, startup environment with a high degree of ownership.

- Experience in troubleshooting network issues and managing networking infrastructure.
- Knowledge of AI and machine learning deployment practices.
- Familiarity with VPN, AWS VPC, DNS, and experience in enhancing security and privacy within cloud environments.
