Frontend Engineer

As a Software Engineer with a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Prince Edward Island, I've honed a diverse skill set in both frontend and backend development, along with cloud technologies. My frontend expertise includes ReactJS, React-Native, TypeScript, HTML/CSS, PHP, AngularJS, Kotlin, and KnockoutJS. On the backend, I am proficient in Python, Java SpringBoot, NodeJS, C, C++, C#, and ASP.NET Core, complemented by extensive knowledge in cloud stacks like AWS, including services like S3, EC2, Docker, Lambda, RDS, CloudFormation, DynamoDB, and Kubernetes.

My professional journey began at 16 years old when I worked my first internship back Nigeria, which introduced me to certain skill set and Agile development strategies. I then worked at TD Bank, Toronto, where I developed web app add-ons using ReactJS and TypeScript, and engaged in backend to AWS systems integration. I then moved to Sprypoint in Ottawa, focusing on YAML scripting for app monitoring and frontend UI development for QA validation. Currently, at Sprypoint, Ottawa, I'm involved in Java backend development using Play framework and AKKA, managing PostgreSQL databases, and implementing Docker for deployment efficiency which I secured from my experience at a startup Goodszilla.

I've also worked on several relevant projects like an E-voting application for high schools and 'Slick', an E-commerce application for clothing sales, showcasing my ability to apply my skills in real-world scenarios. My education included a comprehensive study of web development, cloud architecture, data structures, algorithms, and databases. Additionally, I've completed an Udemy course on Cloud Computing and led a final project during my degree (which was developed in Kotlin), demonstrating leadership and technical expertise.
