Mahmud is a data scientist at Bell, where he develops and implements machine learning models to improve telemarketing sales propensity, customer churn and retention, and model performance monitoring. He has over 10 years of experience in data analytics, data manipulation, data validation, data management, effective visualization, predictive modelling, model development, and data security in the telecom, financial, and healthcare sectors.

He is a Mitacs Accelerate award recipient and a research intern at iMD Research Inc., where he works on fall detection using health data collected by a bracelet sensor. He is also a research assistant at Toronto Metropolitan University, where he explores the intersection of machine learning and privacy and security. He holds a master's degree in computer engineering and continuing education modules in applied data science. He is proficient in Python, and machine learning frameworks. His mission is to leverage data and machine learning to solve real-world problems and create a positive impact.
