Software engineer

Welcome all! I am a software engineer with over 5 years’ experience working on complex software development initiatives. 

In my previous role as a R&D Software Developer at Encompass Technologies, I managed and contributed to development projects improving the lives of producers, distributors, and retailers in the food and beverage supply chain by digitally connecting these three tiers. In this role, I specialized in developing, maintaining, and improving producer (or supplier) facing solutions. While in this role, I was successful in leading developers in an upcoming supplier-focused CRM web/iOS/Android app development using HTML/CSS/Javascript, Google Maps API, MySQL, and APIs on Encompass' global customer / product database, DSDLink. Additionally, I was elected as company ambassador twice, collaborating career fairs and community events, helped onboard employees, and leading continuous feedback programs to enhance company culture. 

When I say "wizard', I really do mean it. I enjoy D&D and Homebrewing (Mead), both of which involve their own form of wizardry. In January of 2022, I won a writing competition for world building by describing the buildup and events of a major conflict in a High Fantasy Sci-Fi setting of my own creation. My partner and I recently hit our 10th batch of mead completed, a coffee bochet using cold brew with notes of vanilla. I tend to jump into various other hobbies and projects, but D&D and Homebrewing are two that seem to stick around.
