FollowingThrough her experiences in building web applications for large demographics, Cherrie has gained a deep appreciation for designing systems that go beyond their functional requirements. She believes that software products should be built to foster human connection and collaboration. Her personal, central mission as a software developer is to leverage her deep understanding of human thinking to build tools that empower their users to better collaborate in their field, creating real, cascading impact in the world through their combined expertise. Cherrie is particularly well suited to build products like this, because she is good at predicting, analyzing and responding to client pain points. After identifying these problems, she is really good at decomposing them in a meticulous way, designing user-oriented solutions in response through a step-by-step, problem-solving approach. She has been building web applications for scientists to run massive online experiments as games, collecting large amounts of data that can then be analyzed to drive scientific innovation. The production demands of these projects have given her a strong understanding of building software with clean and scalable architectures. It has also made her a team player who enjoys working with teammates with a wide range of expertises. She loves to learn from the people she works with, and is excited to apply her approach professionally.
